After a 5:30am departure and a detour outside of Abilene for a special little boy's birthday party, we made it to Lubbock mid afternoon. Madelyn was an awesome car rider! I was a little worried considering she was asking to go home to play with her doll house before we were even off of our street, but she did great.
Luke's parents just moved to Lubbock and bought a new house so this was the first time that we've been able to see it all. It's beautiful and Madelyn loves it. After the grand tour and unloading the bags, we opened presents. Madelyn was in charge of passing them out to everyone. She was bouncing around the room like a ping pong ball!
After presents and a delicious dinner around their beautiful new dining room table, Madelyn got to take a glow bath in Gigi and Papa's tub. She was beyond exhausted but was loving every minute of it!
I need to get a picture of her in it, but right before we made it to Lubbock, Luke's dad bought this Dora toddler bed for Madelyn. She LOVES it. She's been jumping in and out of it and can't wait to go night night in it! Luke and I love it too because it's in Gigi and Papa's room!
I'm looking forward to a fun week with family and seeing where Luke grew up!
