For the last month our family of 3 has probably watched more TV than we have all year! We have loved watching as many of the World Cup games as possible. Yesterday Luke dressed Madelyn in her England shirt for the 3rd place match (despite the fact that they were sent packing a while back).Once the USA was out, every team that we cheered for lost their next match. Guess we can't take credit for being any one's lucky charm :)
Today we watched Spain make history for their country. I so enjoy watching the winners celebrate. Their reactions. The tears and the smiles. On the other hand, I have turned in to a total softy and feel so bad for the losers. It was kind of sad once it was all over because now we are back to the days of nothing good to watch on TV. Boo.
Madelyn is still under the weather and covered in speckles. She had a really rough night last night. For some reason I thought it would be a good idea to stay up until 3am sewing (the little lovie blanket in the picture below that she is covering Violet with is, among other things, a product of last night) and realized just how terrible of an idea that was at about 4am when Madelyn became really restless. She was pretty much constantly stirring from then on. The poor baby has had a rough go of it for the last week and we are definitely ready to get over this!
Considering she hasn't slept well for the last few nights, when she was napping soundly in my arms this afternoon I had to snap a picture. There is nothing sweeter than holding a sleeping baby.
My mom made it back from OKC this evening and stopped by to check on us. I think she felt sorry for us since we have been cooped up in the house for so long. She read Madelyn a few of her Dr. Seuss books and Madelyn of course loved it.
We are praying for rest for our sweet little girl and for her to be better soon.

Kathryn how do you get the little icons on the side of your profile? Like the ones for CMN and PCM? I am in need of help, I don't know how to change my font to make it all cute and stuff like yours. If you get a sec and can explain that would be wonderful! Hope Miss Speckles gets to feeling better soon.
