Sickly Sunday and Monday

Saturday night Madelyn came down with a fever rather quickly. At first it seemed like it may be from her teeth (two have broken through in just two days and three more look like they are about to), but the poor baby was too hot to attribute it to teething. Other than the fever, she was happy and playful as usual.
After treating the fever through the night (I am just going to throw this out there...I'm a little paranoid about febrile seizures now), she woke up super early on Sunday morning. We watched the sun rise through the windows, she ate some breakfast and then she fell back asleep by 8:00am.
Dirty diapers and lots of fussing were pretty much the theme of the day for us. I felt so bad for her. One thing is for sure, sickness doesn't keep this little climber off the furniture.
She perched herself on the coffee table (one of her usual reading spots) and flipped through books for quite a while after breakfast.
So I wiped lots of drool from all that teething, changed lots of diapers from all that...well you know, and tried to keep Madelyn happy.

It wasn't exactly how I planned to spend the day but I doubt that's how she would have planned it either. As a matter of fact...Monday really didn't go as planned. MK's little upset tummy and fever was contagious apparently. Thank goodness for a husband who is willing to work from home and take care of his two girls!

  1. Have fun getting her to listen to you later about keeping off the furniture if you let her now. Boy what fun you are going to have when she is older.

  2. Dear Anonymous,
I think it's quite humorous that you actually think you are anonymous. Why don't you pick on someone in Canada.
    Thanks,
    Jill

  4. Kathryn - I don't know how you do it with a climber! Neither of my boys are climbers, thank goodness! An outdoor jungle gym for your backyard is probably in your future! She's a cutie! Hope you are feeling better. :)

Anonymous: Please stop. I don't know who you are, but God does, and know that I am praying for you this moment that our Great and wonderful God will show you His love. You don't have to write such things, it benefits no one, not even yourself.

  5. So you think god wants her to be a careless mother? Hmm I doubt that.
