On days that it's 90 degrees plus there is no better time to sit outside and watch Madelyn play than just before the sun goes down. The temperatures drop a little and there always seems to be a slight breeze. It makes for the best combination for an outdoor family date night!
Oh the ways we entertain toddlers...
The car was, of course, parked in the garage while all of this took place. MK got quite the kick out of it. Her chuckle is the sweetest sound I have ever heard.
After a little hang out time at the house (outside and in the "trunk") we picked up dinner at Jimmy John's (delish) and went the the park.
I'm not sure there could possibly be a better family date night location than the park. Especially when it's the park where you grew up playing!
MK and Luke ran the bases together on one of the t-ball fields. I was laughing so hard as I watched because like clock work Madelyn stopped to clear the dirt from her shoes every 10 feet or so.
She hates to have dirt between her toes when she has shoes on.
Family date nights are the best.
