cooped up

Luke took MK to Barnes and Noble so they could read together while I was at MOPS and my doctor's appointment yesterday morning. She loves books so I know they had a great time. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall and watch them. Luke is such an amazing father. Fun and wrapped completely around her tiny little fingers. After finding out yesterday morning that although the medicines have dried me out completely, the pneumonia is still there, Madelyn and I have been cooped up inside for the better part of the last two days. She kept looking outside and pointing so out we went.It is SO fun to watch her play.
She is quite the explorer.

The dress she had on yesterday is size 3-6 months from Gymboree. She wore it 11 months (nearly to the day...how weird is that?) prior. You can see the pictures by clicking here. Talk about getting your money's worth! I held out several dresses like this and many sweaters and jackets just in case they still fit this fall and winter. I thought it may fit as a top, but it actually still looked adorable as a dress.
Madelyn kept saying, "Oh no! Oh no!". Every time the wind blew, she would say it so loud. I wish I had my video camera on me because it was absolutely precious!

Other than the 20 minutes we spent outside, we spent the rest of our time taking naps, reading books and being really lazy.
It's actually somewhat refreshing to just relax. Ignore the chores. Put down the computer. Relax with my sweet girl.

  1. Adorable pics as always! Take care of yourself -- sometimes following the doctor's orders really works :) Hope you're much better very soon.
