our week so far...

We have had a jam packed 3 days at our house.

Actually, Monday was pretty low key. Madelyn was pretty tired and napped quite a bit more than normal. That night, my mom offered to come over so Luke and I could go out for dinner. While we went to Don Juan's for some amazing Mexican food, she and Madelyn stayed at the house and played.Yesterday morning Madelyn and I met up with some new friends that we met at the Azalea Craft Fair at Rose Rudman Park to walk. I love those trails. Madelyn is such a great little rider. She fell asleep about half way through the walk.

Later that afternoon, I was feeling the need to get outside again, so Madelyn and I hung out by the pool. I lugged the jumperoo out there and rigged an umbrella to provide some shade for the munchkin.
She loved looking around at everything and jumping!
I am not ready for days that are so hot you feel like it hits you in the face when you walk out the door, but I am definitely enjoying the sunshine!

Today we had an extra little girl hanging out with us. Emily broke her nose last night and could not go to day care (until she sees the specialist on Monday) so she spent the day with Madelyn and I.
The poor girl had to ice her nose every hour for 30 minutes. She was actually really good about it (I was thinking it would be a fight all day long) and she never even really complained about it hurting.

Emily fed Madelyn her lunch and Madelyn thought she was very entertaining!
Between every bite was a little giggle on both ends.
We went to Target this afternoon and one little shopper fell asleep by the time we made it to the checkout. It wasn't nap time but I think her personal entertainer wore her out.
Tonight we have church. Tomorrow, Emily is coming back to hang out with us! Fun will definitely be had.

On a different note...I have found it really hard to blog this week. I had a conversation with Jenna last week that the times that I can't blog or don't blog, it's not necessarily because I don't want to or don't have the time (which is sometimes the case), it's usually because I have something weighing on my heart. She's the same way. Something that makes it near impossible for me to put to words anything but "the facts". That's how I have felt the last couple of days. On Tuesday Madelyn and I went to Sam's (where we met like 5 new people that have heard about her story!) and one woman that just needed someone to talk to. More on that later. Like I said, I can't seem to put it to words.
