Back Tracking

September 15

Since we were a little uncertain as to what the next day or two would hold regarding my Grandma, I decided we would celebrate Luke's birthday the night before his actual birthday! My mom and dad always made a big deal out of our birthdays and I love doing that for my little family.

Since we were short on time, I picked Luke up a cake from a local grocery store and had them write his name on it instead of making it myself. He didn't seem to mind though! We had Chinese food (one of his faves) and sang Happy Birthday!

Madelyn loved helping him blow out the candles and eat his cake!

MK and I gave him a special jar for his birthday. Luke has such a passion for God's word, people and sharing God's word with others! We love him and believe in his call and can't wait for him to enroll in seminary!
It was a good evening celebrating my sweet hubby with his mom, Grandma, my sister and Madelyn!

We love you, Luke!

  1. Kathryn, where will Luke go to seminary? Or is that still up in the air? I don't know if he's checked into it, but the Baptist Missionary Association Theological Seminary in Jacksonville is great. That's where Larry got his master's. It's a tiny school, but it's wayyyy cheaper than DTS or the one in Ft. Worth (the name escapes me at the moment). Might be worth checking into!
