bless her heart

I can't help but laugh at the moment.

I just got off the phone with a woman at my insurance company.

Talking to them usually makes me really grumpy because they never want to pay out on anything and we are still going round to round with all of Madelyn's stays from when she was born and the 2-4 night stays in the months following. It's been stressful and overwhelming at times and we even have good coverage.

Anyway, Madelyn was taking a bottle so I took advantage of the 10 minutes of silence and knowing exactly where my child is (she is all over the house these days) and I just got off the phone with them yet again.

She asked me my occupation. I told her I'm a stay at home mom. She said, "Gosh, that must be nice. You get to sit around and do nothing all day. No responsibilities. Just get to do whatever you feel like or sleep in all day long. I wish my life was that easy." I kindly asked her if she had any children. Her response, "Oh, Lord no! My husband doesn't think I'm ready. But I have a dog and I hear they are the same thing!"

I wonder what gave her husband the impression she is not ready?

Bless her little heart.

  1. Oh you are farrrrr kinder than I am!!!!!! Thank the Lord she married someone with intelligence! And bless YOUR heart for having to listen to that!!

  2. All I can say is WOW...
    Hope Madelyn is feeling better!

  3. Well, isn't that what you do all day? I can't wait for it. I plan on teaching my kids at a VERY young age how to do things like: load and unload the dishwasher, wash clothes, use bleach to clean the toilet, and dust so that I can sit around all day and do nothing. I'm also going to teach them to sleep in. I just shove my dog back under the coveres if she tries to get up too early. I'm SURE that I can do the same with kids, right? ;)

  4. WOW- incredible. I'm pretty shocked someone had the audacity to say that! I KNOW you do far more! :)

  5. oooh oooh I want that job too! LOL!!!

Thank you for the comment love! :)
