pearls

I have had my eye on this adorable faux pearl necklace from Stella and Dot for Madelyn. The more that I looked at it, the more that I thought, "I can make that". Despite the fact that I have never made a piece of jewelry before (except for the fruit loop necklaces in grade school), I decided to give it a shot.I was so excited when I finished, because although it's definitely not as pretty as the inspiration piece, I made it! I have had so much fun over the last 14 months making things for my sweet girl. Bows, bow holders, picture frames, tutus, dresses, onesies, burp cloths, bibs, appliqued shirts and now this fun little necklace.I hope that this will be something fun for her to wear for special occasions and pictures for many years down the road!

It looks precious on her. Madelyn's first strand of pearls...my baby is getting so big.

  1. Hi Kathryn! My name is Katie and I have a 17 month old daughter named Allyson. I have loved following your blog for a while now. You make the cutest things. I was wondering if you had an Etsy shop, I didn't remember if you did or not. I would love to get my daughter a necklace like you made for Madelyn. It's just perfect! Happy holidays!
