Madelyn has decided that one of her new favorite things to do is blow bubbles.Lots and lots and lots of bubbles. Her clothes are constantly wet from all the bubbles she blows. Today, she managed to soak two outfits. Somebody get this child a bib. Good thing she has lots of those. Lots of cute ones in fact. We just have not had a need for them until now. She never really spits up much, if she even does (maybe once a week or so). However, she blows so many bubbles and drools so much that I think it is officially time to pull out the bibs or else we will be changing clothes 5 times a day.
Once she has blown enough bubbles to successfully soak an outfit, she gets this look of complete satisfaction as if she is so proud of herself.
Another one of her favorite things to do lately...hold on to her glow worm and little lovey bears.
For the most part, by "hold on to" I mean pull them up to her mouth and gnaw on them. Whatever works I guess. I like to think she is just giving them some love. If Luke and I hold her up by our faces, she gnaws on our cheeks too and unloads a whole lot of drool in the process. To an outsider, that may seem gross. To a mommy, they are sweet kisses from your 14 week old that are priceless (no matter how wet they are).
My child is quite the character. She makes all sorts of silly faces. I think she knows they are silly too, because right after she flashes you a look like this one...
she has the biggest grin on her face you have ever seen. I think the above picture will be one of those that she will hate us for later. Oh well.
Yet another one of her latest loves...
her play mat. Tonight she played and kicked and giggled and grinned. She got a good grip on one of the rings and yanked it all over the place. She squealed in delight as it made noise. When she would get bored with grabbing things, she would just throw her legs in the air and kick at the toys hanging from the top. Then she would squeal in delight again.
We put her in her swing while we ate dinner tonight. This is the sight that we saw when we looked over at her...
Hungry? Why wait? Grab a bow!
Did you notice all those outfits?? She gets them so wet that her skin gets cold. I seriously think we need to rename her the slobber monster or maybe the drool factory?
Oh my gosh, I cannot get enough of those classic faces! All so different and all so cute!
