Christmas Eve

We are blessed.

This morning we spent time doting over Madelyn with Luke's family. It's so good to have them here for Christmas. This afternoon we headed to my parents house to do our traditional Christmas Eve dinner, read from Luke chapter two and open presents. There is something magical about hearing your dad read about Jesus' birth as your 15 month old niece makes her way around the room, often squealing in delight. It made me think that one day over 2000 years ago, Jesus too was more than likely a rambunctious 15 month old. We are thankful for his birth, his life, his death, burial and resurrection.

We are thankful for Jesus.

Today Madelyn turned 3 months old (I will share more about that tomorrow). Luke and I could not be more thankful to be able to celebrate the birth of Jesus with our own little miracle. The gift of life is beyond compare.

Merry Christmas Eve Madelyn Kate.
Mommy & Daddy love you.

  1. Such sweet pictures! And is that an American girl doll I see in Emily's arms? Lucky girl! We'll have to tell her stories all about the times you, Rachel, and I played with Molly, Samantha, and your baby American Girl!
